For the 2019-20 financial year, landlords who pass on rent relief to struggling tenants may be eligible for a 25% reduction in the full amount of Land Tax due for the year. The measure applies to both commercial and residential tenancies.

We've been fortunate that we've been able to continue, even with the doors close, as we work with our clients to intepret and implement the many and varied business stimulus measures announced by the Federal and State Governments. Nevertheless, we hope re-opening our offices will allow us to return to a greater level of accessibility for things like document signing, pick-ups and drop-offs.

The full implementation of all the measures included in the Code is still being considered by the South Australian State Government, but in the meantime, a number of its 'good faith' principles have been given legislative authority in South Australia through the COVID-19 Emergency Response Act 2020.
